Meat That Thinks

(MEDICS!!! FOLLOW YOUR TEAMMATES TO THE FRONT LINES!!! DONT STAY BACK AND STOP HEALING TEAMMATES WHEN THEY CHARGE FORWARD!!!
YOURE EXPECTED TO DIE OFTEN SO DONT BE SCARED.)

Sometimes true, sometimes false. As a Medic, staying alive has obvious important repercussions for the rest of the team. Compare: the Engineer.

So while you should definitely muck in with charges, I’d say being more cautious and keeping to cover, building uber and watching for Spies & Snipers for your patient, is a very important part of the role.

And if some newb expects you to follow them into an obvious deathtrap, don’t. The time you spend dead you could be healing all your other teammates and building charge faster.

So, both sides of this can be right, and getting that balance down is fundamental to being a good Medic.
